Having tried every diet the world has ever known I found the Life Shapers Way an innovative way of losing weight. The invitation they gave to learn to love myself more was too tempting not to investigate.

My relationship with food and my body had always been appalling! No positive body image, comfort eating at every opportunity and generally not able to see a way of changing.

After starting to use some of the Life Shapers ‘Keys’ the first thing to change was my personal image of myself, for which I had taken the blame over the years. Yes, I know that I ate the food so I grew fat but that had to be put behind me to allow me to move forward.

This is where Chrissie’s help was paramount. Gradually I learnt to realise the reasons for my comfort eating and what to do to avoid those situations. I found so many helpful hints in her book Weight Loss, Life Gain – fabulous!

The whole Life Shapers web site gives positive vibes from first entering to reading the blog and all other available options.

I was inspired by Chrissie’s views on weight loss since in the main they mirrored my own and so I wanted to read her book Weight Loss, Life Gain to see if we were on the same wave length.

I always felt guilty if I ate anything I considred out of bounds for an over weight person. I disliked my body image and kept buying clothes thinking they were going to mask the problem.

The Life-Shapers™ Way helped me change my mindset to one of acceptance of “what is”. It stopped me burdening myself with guilt and shame. The skills of Conscious Eating I learnt gave me permission to eat and drink what I like by being sensible and not over indulging.

I particularly found the Life-Shapers ™ daily motivational emails Motivational and the notes and activities really useful to keep myself on track.

The advice I would give to anyone still struggling with their weight and size is not to put yourself under the dieting self imposed pressures, take a step back and with the support of the Life Shapers program implement new tactics.

I completely agree with your Blog A Holistic Approach to Weight Management Tuesday 27th May, 2008 about the importance of living in the present moment. Our negative self-talk and thoughts are most damaging and cause us to binge eat. It's amazing what happens when we rid ourselves of the negativity and focus on living in the moment.
